David Spiller

I just love David Spiller’s art, it’s so contemporary, bold, colourful and best of all makes me smile. David has told Design week (volume 24 / number 33) that the word is very important to him, words, songs, images all inspire his work as well as graffiti. It’s humbling to hear him say “I don’t have expectations about the effect of my work on people. It’s enough if they want to stop and look.”

David Spiller\s most recent work will be exhibited at Beaux Arts, 22 Cork Street, London W1, from 9th September 2009. The exhibition is called ‘Trying to get to heaven before they close the door.’you shake my nerves_david-spillerhave I told you latelydaisy duckall the vampires

Ugly Betty inspired packaging design

‘Ugly Betty’ inspired Diet Coke bottle

Academy Award-nominated and Emmy Award winning costume designer, Patricia Field, has designed the new, limited edition, Diet Coke bottle, inspired by hit tv show, Ugly Betty. The puchy pink, leopard print surface design instantly grabs your attention. Each bottle comes with a fabulous collection of stickers, all inspired by Betty’s character, allowing the purchaser to customise the product. The interactive design is great fun and will most likely attract many ‘Ugly Betty’ fans. It’s so kitch and so bad taste it’s wonderful!
